SA writers wow iPod

Four South African writers recorded their prose stories for the internet during the National Arts Festival. This was the final part of the CityBooks project focussing on Grahamstown and organised by the Dutch/Flemish organisation deBuren. The project has seen 2million downloads of the stories from other cities – and last year saw more than 90,000 listeners downloading the South African stories for iPod. Grahamstown is the third city in the series after Bucharest and Tbilisi.  The featured writers are Brink Scholtz, Ronelda Kamfer, Ingrid Winterbach and Toast Coetzer.
